Housing
| CMHA manages 75 affordable rental units throughout Huron and Perth Counties. This includes owned buildings and sublet units from local landlords. Tenants with limited income and evidence of a mental illness may qualify for a rental subsidy based on income. Support services are provided to assist tenants to maintain their residences. Both long and short term accommodation is provided. Transitional units provide temporary furnished accommodation to facilitate discharges from hospital and assess a person´s skills to maintain permanent housing. Tenant Eligiblity Supportive housing is governed by existing operating agreements with the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care. CMHA Huron-Perth provides accommodation for individuals/families with serious mental illness who are at risk of homelessness or are paying more than 50% of their income on shelter. Rent payments are based on a Calculation of tenant income.
