Consumer Peer Support Initiative
| People with mental illness direct and operate meaningful programs and activities to develop a strong network of peer friendships. Activities include: Weekly support group meetings, recreational and social activities, an annual dance and picnic and involvement in province wide advocacy. The program in Huron County is sponsored by CMHA and by Phoenix Survivors in Perth County (519.273.7780). What Our Group Members say: It´s a place to share ideas For people just getting out of the hospital it offers a place to go for support. I had no place to go until this group came along. I developed more self confidence. I met many new friends. It gives me something to look forward to. Just coming here lifts my spirits. For more information on the consumer initiative, please call 1.888.875.2944 or our local number 519.273.391.
